A333GR.6 heat treatment
Heat treatment can improve the organizational structure and grain size of A333GR.6 cryogenic tube. The original state of A333Gr6 low-temperature tube is ferrite + pearlite with coarse structure. The structure is unevenly distributed and has poor impact resistance under low temperature conditions. The tempered sorbite structure with martensitic morphology characteristics has more uniform grain size and organizational structure, good conventional mechanical properties, and significantly improved low-temperature impact toughness. Generally, the heat treatment of A333GR.6 in its delivery state is to heat it to a temperature of no less than 1500F° (815℃), then quench it in a liquid, and heat it again to an appropriate tempering temperature to control its microstructure to improve low-temperature toughness.
