API 5L X70 high carbon steel line pipe is made through a hot forming process and its elemental composition includes silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and niobium in addition to carbon. API 5L L485Q steel pipe is a non-flammable steel known for its durability, toughness, reliability and safety.
X70 carbon based steel pipe is also heat treated to remove residual stresses and obtain the required mechanical properties, it has anti-corrosion protection and is usually coated or wrapped in a properly selected shell or wooden corrugated structure.
