Among them, the steel pipe base material is the main body of the entire pipeline and is responsible for the task of transporting fluid; the hot melt adhesive is responsible for tightly bonding the three layers of PE coating and the steel pipe base material to ensure that the coating will not fall off or peel off. ; The three-layer PE coating is the key to the anti-corrosion performance of the entire pipeline. It can effectively isolate the steel pipe from contact with the external environment and prevent the steel pipe from being corroded and damaged.
The anti-corrosion performance of three-layer PE-coated straight seam steel pipes mainly benefits from the excellent performance of its three-layer PE coating. The first layer is the primer layer, which usually uses epoxy powder coating, which can effectively enhance the adhesion between the steel pipe and the coating and also play a certain anti-corrosion role. The second layer is the adhesive layer, which uses special hot melt adhesive to tightly bond the primer layer and topcoat layer together to form a whole. The third layer is the topcoat layer, usually made of polyethylene (PE) material, which has excellent chemical corrosion resistance, water resistance, soil corrosion resistance and other properties, and can effectively protect the steel pipe base material from erosion by the external environment.
The construction and maintenance of three-layer PE-coated straight seam steel pipes are also relatively simple. During the construction process, it is necessary to ensure that the steel pipe base material is clean and dry to ensure that the coating can adhere tightly to the surface of the steel pipe.
