X52 pipeline steel is a kind of low carbon steel produced according to the standard API5L and used in pipeline construction. The "X" in its grade stands for pipeline steel, and the "52" stands for the plate's small yield strength value of 52ksi (1ksi=6.895Mpa), i.e., about 360Mpa. It is mainly used in the pipeline transportation field of oil and natural gas, but also applicable to other fluid transportation fields, such as chemical raw materials.
