L360 line pipe is a high-strength steel pipe commonly used in pipeline transportation systems such as oil, natural gas and water. It belongs to a type of API 5L standard line pipe with excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
Pressure grade of L360 line pipe
According to the API 5L standard, the pressure grade of L360 line pipe can be divided into two grades, namely L360 and L360M. Among them, the minimum yield strength of L360 line pipe is 52ksi (359MPa) and the minimum tensile strength is 66ksi (455MPa), while the minimum yield strength of L360M line pipe is 52ksi (359MPa) and the minimum tensile strength is 72ksi (496MPa).
Pressure bearing capacity of L360 line pipe
The pressure bearing capacity of L360 line pipe depends on factors such as the size of the pipe, the wall thickness and the physical properties of the pipe material. Taking the typical size of L360 pipeline as an example, when the pipeline diameter is 10 inches (273.1 mm), the wall thickness is 0.562 inches (14.3 mm), calculated according to the formula P=2St/D, where P is the pressure of the pipeline, S is the yield strength of the pipeline material, t is the wall thickness of the pipeline, and D is the diameter of the pipeline. Substituting the yield strength and size data of L360 pipeline for calculation, it can be obtained that the pressure of L360 pipeline is about 2281 psi (15.7 MPa).
Features of L360 pipeline
Excellent strength and toughness: L360 pipeline has high yield strength and tensile strength, can withstand greater pressure and tension, and has good toughness, and can adapt to complex construction environments.
Good corrosion resistance: L360 pipeline is made of high-quality steel, has good corrosion resistance, and can effectively resist the erosion of acid, alkali, salt water and other corrosive media.
Wide range of application fields: L360 line pipe is widely used in pipeline transportation systems such as oil, natural gas, and water, and can meet the needs of different fields.
