API steel pipe ultrasonic flaw detection equipment classification and function
1. Automated on-line inspection system
Full pipe body inspection equipment: adopting multiple probe arrays (such as 28 sets of probe landing devices) to achieve full pipe body coverage inspection of spiral welded pipe, straight seam steel pipe, etc., with automatic tracking, rotary drive and water coupling function.
Weld seam special equipment: ultrasonic automatic inspection system designed for weld seam of spiral welded pipe, completing continuous scanning through the probe linear slide and steel pipe synchronous movement.
API 5L standard adapted equipment: Seamless pipe and welded pipe inspection equipment complying with API 5L specification, supporting the transverse wave reflection method and high-precision defect identification (e.g. millimetre-scale cracks, porosity).
2. Manual/portable inspection equipment
Digital ultrasonic flaw detector: handheld equipment (such as UFD-Box, AG-900), suitable for on-site weld, casting internal defects (pores, cracks) rapid positioning and analysis, support for data storage and graphic printing.
Special instrument for high temperature environment: adapted with temperature compensation function, it can work stably under ≤70℃ environment.
3. Specialised probes and auxiliary devices
Probe array configuration: including transverse wave oblique probe, straight probe and double crystal probe, wall thickness ≤ 20mm steel pipe priority to use double crystal probe to improve sensitivity.
Electromechanical auxiliary system: including compression and positioning device, steel pipe driving roller conveyor, electronic control PLC and water/pneumatic system to ensure the automatic operation of the inspection process.
4. Calibration and verification equipment
Comparison test blocks: V-groove, flat-bottomed hole test blocks for calibration of sensitivity and verification of equipment performance, in accordance with API SPEC 5L standards.
Instrument calibration module: integrated sound speed input, time base line adjustment and gain compensation functions to ensure the accuracy of detection parameters.
