1. The principles and methods of pre-galvanizing and galvanizing are different
Pre-galvanizing is to electro-galvanize the surface of the base material (steel plate, steel strip, etc.) before manufacturing, and then make the required product. Galvanizing is to immerse the finished product in a zinc-containing molten liquid so that the zinc adheres to the surface of the steel (usually hot-dip galvanizing) or to electrolyte zinc in the electrolyte to form a layer of zinc covering on the surface of the steel.
2. The costs of pre-galvanizing and galvanizing are different
The cost of pre-galvanizing is higher than that of galvanizing, because pre-galvanizing requires the base material to be made first and then processed. Galvanizing is performed by immersion or electrolysis, and the cost is relatively low.
3. The anti-corrosion time of pre-galvanized and galvanized is different
The pre-galvanizing time is longer than the galvanizing time, and it is not easy to fall off and has a longer service life. Pre-galvanizing can extend the service life of the base steel, and some products can even have a service life of more than 20 years. The anti-corrosion time of galvanizing is relatively short, usually between 5-10 years.
4. The applicable scopes of pre-galvanizing and galvanizing are different
Pre-galvanizing is suitable for manufacturing processes with a high degree of automation, such as the production of corrosion-resistant parts such as pipes, bridges, wire mesh, and push rod hydraulic cylinders. Galvanizing is widely used in the construction industry, automobile manufacturing and other fields, especially in construction steel and certain home appliances.
5. The appearance of pre-galvanized and galvanized is different
Since pre-galvanizing is completed before manufacturing, its surface quality is relatively better, with high uniformity, brighter and better performance. Galvanizing will cause some irregular zinc particles to adhere to the surface of the steel.
