A213 TP321 polished pipes have a reduced risk of intergranular corrosion in most high carbon steels due to the addition of titanium, and can be used longer at high temperatures. And the titanium element in A213 TP321 stainless steel electropolished pipe can reduce or prevent carbide precipitation during welding, resulting in comparable weldability to 304.
One limitation of A213 TP321 stainless steel polished pipe is that titanium does not transfer well in high temperature arcs, so it is not recommended as a welding material.
