The titanium present in the A249 TP321 stainless steel pipe alloy combines with the carbon content in the metal to form titanium carbide. This improves the intergranular corrosion resistance of A249 TP321 stainless steel welded pipe because as a stable component, titanium carbide is difficult to dissolve in steel.
A249 SS 321 welded pipe is mainly used in high temperature chemical process equipment such as aircraft piston engine manifolds and exhaust pipes, thermal oxidizers, expansion joints, refinery pipelines, etc.
