A268 TP439 Steel Pipe is a ferritic stainless steel designed to resist corrosion in a wide range of oxidizing environments from fresh water to boiling acids. The hardening of A268 TP439 seamless pipe is controlled by using 405 Cb electrodes containing niobium and like all ferritic grades, it is not susceptible to stress corrosion.
A268 TP439 seamless steel pipe is produced for applications where better mechanical properties, hardness, chloride induced pitting, crevice and stress corrosion cracking may be considered such as oil/gas industry, bearing processing and decorative piping.
