What is the difference between ASTM A36 and ASTM A283 Grade C?
ASTM A283 Gr C Welded Steel Pipe consists of four material grades (A, B, C, and D) of structural quality carbon steel plate for general applications. ASTM A36 Welded Pipe covers structural-quality carbon steel plates, sections, and bars used in riveted, bolted, or welded structures in bridges and buildings, as well as for general structural purposes.

ASTM A283 GR.C ERW pipe is made from A283 Grade C carbon steel and is suitable for welded pressure vessels, structural components and general applications involving mild corrosion.

ASTM A283 GR.C ERW pipe refers to electric resistance welded (ERW) steel pipe manufactured according to the ASTM A283 standard, specifically Grade C of that standard. ASTM A283 is a specification for low- and medium-strength carbon steel pipe intended for general structural applications.
