ASTM A500 is the standard for welded steel pipes in the American Society for Testing and Materials standards.
It covers the welding, riveting or bolting of cold welded seamless carbon steel round tubes, square tubes, rectangular tubes or special shape structural tubes or bolt structures of bridges and buildings, as well as general structural tubes. The outer diameter of this steel pipe is 88 inches (2235 mm) and below, and the wall thickness is 0.875 inches (22 mm) and below. In addition, the ASTM A500 standard also stipulates requirements for the quantity, manufacturing method, size, length, end conditions, deburring, certificates, and allowable deviations in dimensions of steel pipes.
The tensile strength of ASTM A500 is 400MPa and the yield strength is 290MPa. The Chinese brand is Q295B.
