ASTM A501 standards are mainly for black and hot-dip galvanized hot-formed welded and seamless carbon steel square, round, rectangular or special-shaped structural pipes.
ASTM A501 carbon steel structural pipes are divided into two types: hot-formed seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes. Seamless steel pipes have high strength and durability and are suitable for projects with high quality requirements. Welded steel pipes are produced faster and at relatively low cost, making them more suitable for large structures and long-distance pipeline applications.
Among them, ASTM A501 Grade B steel pipes have higher tensile strength and are suitable for structural applications that require higher strength.
