(1). Causes
1. Improper welding temperature. The welding temperature of martensitic stainless steel is required to be appropriate. If the stress generated during welding cannot be eliminated, cracking will occur during the processing.
2. Stress caused by bending or folding during processing. During the processing, martensitic stainless steel materials may be bent, folded, etc., which will cause stress in the material. If it is not handled correctly, cracking may occur.
3. Long-term exposure to high temperature environment. Although martensitic stainless steel materials can withstand high temperatures, if they are exposed to high temperature environments for a long time, cracking will occur.
4. Uneven chemical composition. In martensitic stainless steel, the uniformity of the chemical composition directly affects the performance of martensite. If the chemical composition is uneven, cracking will occur.
(2). Prevention and control measures
1. Control stress during processing. During the processing of martensitic stainless steel, pay attention to controlling operations such as bending and folding to avoid stress formation, thereby reducing cracking.
2. Pay attention to the appropriate temperature during welding. When welding martensitic stainless steel, ensure that the welding temperature is appropriate, and pay attention to controlling stress during welding to avoid cracking.
3. Avoid long-term high-temperature exposure. Martensitic stainless steel materials should not be exposed to high temperature for a long time, and try to avoid cracking.
4. Control the uniformity of chemical elements. During the material preparation process, pay attention to the uniformity of chemical composition to ensure the stability of martensite performance and avoid cracking.
