The pipeline transportation method of natural gas is to transport the natural gas extracted from oil and gas wells to different users in different regions through various pipelines connected to the oil and gas wells and corresponding facilities and equipment networks. The natural gas is powered by electric or natural gas engines, which compress or squeeze the incoming gas and push it out at a higher pressure. The natural gas is compressed in the transmission pipeline to a pressure range of usually 500 to 1400 pounds per square inch. Therefore, the natural gas pipeline transportation method can transport a large amount of natural gas and provide users with a stable supply of natural gas. It is currently the main method of natural gas transportation.
Basic composition of natural gas pipeline system
The basic transportation process of natural gas from the extraction of natural gas from the gas well to the delivery to the user is:
Gas well (or oil well) - oil and gas field mine gathering and transportation pipeline network - natural gas boosting and purification - gas transmission trunk line → town or industrial area distribution pipeline network → user
The various parts of the natural gas pipeline system are connected or linked to each other in different ways to form a closed natural gas transmission system, that is, natural gas is continuously transported in a closed system.
