1. Inspection of geometric dimensions and appearance of steel pipes:
1. Steel pipe wall thickness inspection: micrometer, ultrasonic thickness gauge, no less than 8 points at both ends and recorded.
2. Check the outer diameter and ovality of the steel pipe: caliper, vernier caliper, ring gauge, measure the maximum point and minimum point.
3. Steel pipe length inspection: steel tape measure, manual and automatic length measurement.
4. Steel pipe curvature inspection: ruler, level (1m), feeler gauge, thin wire to measure the curvature per meter and the curvature of the entire length.
5. Inspection of seamless steel pipe end bevel angle and blunt edge: square ruler and clamping plate.
2. Steel pipe surface quality inspection:
1. Manual visual inspection: lighting conditions, standards, experience, markings, steel pipe rotation.
2. Non-destructive testing: ultrasonic testing UT, eddy current testing ET, magnetic particle MT and magnetic flux leakage testing, electromagnetic ultrasonic testing, penetrant testing.
Seamless steel pipes are widely used. General-purpose seamless steel pipes are rolled from ordinary carbon structural steel, low alloy structural steel or alloy structural steel. They have the largest output and are mainly used as pipes or structural parts for conveying fluids.
It is supplied in three categories according to different uses:
a. Supplied according to chemical composition and mechanical properties;
b. Supplied according to mechanical properties;
c. Supplied according to hydraulic pressure test.
