Gr.B: Grade B steel; API 5L standard is implemented. The domestic standard corresponding to API 5L standard is GB/T9711 standard, and Gr.B corresponds to L245 material.
Pipeline steel refers to a type of steel with special requirements used for pipelines such as oil and natural gas. Technical process requirements
(1) DWTT ≥ 85% SA at the lowest operating temperature (-5);
(2) Charpy impact absorption energy ≥ 145 J at the lowest operating temperature (-5).
The technical conditions of pipeline steel generally adopt the American Petroleum Institute standard API Spec 5L.
2. It has relatively stringent requirements on smelting process technology, and the technical difficulties are mainly concentrated in:
1) Control of impurity element content;
2) Control of inclusions;
3) Control of narrow components.
3. Production process of pipeline pipes
According to the process, welded steel pipes are mainly divided into three processes: electric resistance welding (ERW), spiral submerged arc welding (SSAW) and straight seam submerged arc welding (LSAW). The welded pipes produced by these three processes have different positions in the application field due to their different raw materials, forming processes, caliber sizes and quality.
