The quality inspection methods of LSAW steel pipes are as follows:
1. Visual inspection: Visually inspect whether there are defects such as cracks, deformation and pores around the weld. Visual inspection is a simple and quick method, but it has certain limitations in the discovery of defects.
2. Strength inspection of pressure vessels: In addition to the sealing test, pressure vessels must also undergo strength tests. There are two types: pressure test and pressure test. They both test the sealing of welds in containers and pipelines working under pressure. Air pressure tests are more sensitive and faster than water pressure tests.
3. Radiographic detection: Radiography or radiography is used to detect defects inside welds, such as cracks and pores. This method is effective in detecting internal defects in welds, but the equipment cost is high.
4. Ultrasonic detection: The propagation and echo signal characteristics of ultrasonic waves are used to detect the quality of welds. Ultrasonic detection can detect internal defects in welds and can quantitatively measure the size and location of defects.
5. Magnetic particle testing: By applying a magnetic field and spreading magnetic particles, the presence of cracks and other defects on and around the weld surface is detected. This method is suitable for detecting defects such as cracks, fatigue and deformation.
6. Eddy current testing: Using the principle of eddy current induction, the presence of surface cracks, weld deformation and corrosion on and around the weld surface is detected.
7. Hydrostatic test: Fill the steel pipe with high-pressure water or gas to detect defects such as leakage and deformation. Hydrostatic test is a commonly used method for steel pipe quality inspection.
8. Chemical analysis: By sampling and performing chemical analysis, determine whether the composition of the steel pipe meets the standard requirements. This method is mainly used to inspect the material quality of welding materials and steel pipes.
