The full name of 3PE anti-corrosion layer is fused epoxy/extruded polyethylene structural protective layer, which is mainly composed of the following three layers. The first layer of epoxy powder (FBE>100um), the second layer of adhesive (AD 170~250um), and the third layer of polyethylene (PE 2.5~3.7mm). In actual operation, the three materials are mixed and integrated, and after processing, they are firmly combined with the steel pipe to form an excellent anti-corrosion coating. The processing methods are generally divided into winding and coating types. The total thickness of the protective layer is not less than 1.8mm and not more than 3.7mm.
During the production process of 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe, these three materials will be mixed and integrated into one by winding and original mold coating processing methods, so that the steel pipe is combined with it to form an excellent anti-corrosion layer to achieve the anti-corrosion effect of the steel pipe.
The PE anti-corrosion coating has the characteristics of high impermeability and high mechanical properties of epoxy resin and polyethylene materials. It is currently recognized worldwide as the pipeline anti-corrosion coating method with the best use effect and best performance.
