In China, the national standard grade corresponding to API 5L GR.B is L245. L245 steel pipe is similar to the requirements of API 5L GR.B in terms of chemical composition, mechanical properties, etc., and is mainly used for the transportation of oil and natural gas. L245 steel pipe implements the corresponding national standards of China, such as GB/T9711.
In addition, the equivalent standards of PI 5L B grade pipeline pipe are considered to be ASTM A106 B or ASTM A53 B. PSL1 type is considered to be the closest equivalent type to them. This is because this particular grade also has chemical composition, mechanical properties and uses similar to API 5L B grade.
