API5LX70 pipe is a high-strength, high-toughness steel pipe material used in the oil and gas industry with the following characteristics:
Standard & Specification:
Follows the American Petroleum Institute's API SPEC 5L standard.
Outside diameter specifications range from 21.3mm to 1219mm and wall thickness range from 2mm to 80mm.
Chemical Composition:
Mainly consists of carbon (≤0.17%), silicon (≤0.45%), manganese (≤1.75%), phosphorus (≤0.020%), sulphur (≤0.010%), vanadium (0.010%), niobium (0.05%), titanium (0.06%).
Mechanical properties:
Yield strength between 485MPa and 605MPa, tensile strength between 570MPa and 760MPa, yield-strength ratio maximum 0.93.
Manufacturing process:
Made by hot rolling, cold rolling, cold drawing or hot expanding process.
Applications:
Mainly used for oil and gas transmission pipelines, able to withstand high pressure and harsh environmental conditions.
