What is the production process of L360M steel pipe?

Raw material preparation
The manufacture of L360m steel pipe requires the use of high-quality steel as raw material. Generally, low-alloy and high-strength steel is used. After the raw materials are qualified by quality inspection, they enter the next processing link.

Tube billet processing
First, the selected steel is cut to obtain a tube billet of appropriate length. Then, the tube billet is heated to reach a suitable processing temperature. The heated tube billet is rolled for multiple times and gradually forms a tube shape. Through the action of the sizing machine, a tube billet of specified size is obtained.

Tube billet forming
After the tube billet is processed, the tube billet is sent to the forming machine. The forming machine forms the tube billet according to the specification requirements of the L360m steel pipe. The forming machine uses the action of the roller to gradually bend the tube billet into a circle, and connects the two ends of the tube billet by welding to form a seamless tube body.

Welding
Welding is an important link in the production process of L360m steel pipe. Generally, high-frequency induction welding technology is used to heat the two ends of the tube billet to a molten state and then quickly connect them together. After welding is completed, the excess material at the weld is removed to make the surface of the pipe smooth and flat.

Heat treatment
Heat treatment is to improve the performance and organizational structure of L360m steel pipe. Heat treatment is usually carried out by normalizing or quenching. During the heat treatment process, the steel pipe is heated to a certain temperature, kept for a period of time, and then cooled. Through heat treatment, the strength and hardness of the steel pipe can be improved, while its toughness and corrosion resistance can be improved.

Surface treatment
In order to protect the surface of L360m steel pipe from corrosion, surface treatment is often carried out. Common surface treatment methods include painting, galvanizing, etc. Painting can prevent the surface of the steel pipe from direct contact with air and water vapor, reducing the possibility of corrosion. Galvanizing can form a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel pipe, improving the corrosion resistance of the steel pipe.

Quality inspection
Strict quality inspection is required in every link of L360m steel pipe production. Common inspection items include size, mechanical properties, chemical composition, etc. Only steel pipes that pass the quality inspection can be shipped.
