- X52 pipeline steel is a kind of low carbon steel produced according to specific standards (e.g. API5L, GB/T21237, etc.) and used for pipeline construction. The "X" in its grade stands for pipeline steel, and the "52" stands for the small yield strength value of the steel plate of 52ksi (1ksi=6.895Mpa), i.e. about 360Mpa.
