What Is Straight Seam Submerged Arc Welded Pipe?

Using JCOE steel pipe forming, one weld seam, submerged arc welding process, specifications range from 325mm--1420mm. When the diameter of the straight seam submerged arc welded pipe is greater than 914.4, the standard allows the steel pipe to have two straight welds. The straight seam submerged arc welded pipe products comply with the GB/T3091-2008 low-pressure fluid steel pipe standard, the GB/T9711.1(2)-1997 oil and gas pipeline executive standard, and the ASTM A252 American executive standard for welded structural steel pipes. The production process of straight seam submerged arc welded pipes is flexible and can produce any specification and wall thickness within the range. The production efficiency is lower than that of high-frequency straight seam welded steel pipes and spiral welded steel pipes.
The biggest advantage of straight seam submerged arc welded pipes is that they can produce specifications and models that cannot be produced by high-frequency steel pipes, spiral steel pipes, and even seamless steel pipes.
The production cost of straight seam submerged arc welded pipes is higher than that of high-frequency steel pipes and spiral steel pipes, but there is a lot of room for price discounts compared to seamless steel pipes.
Longitudinal submerged arc welded pipes can produce materials that cannot be produced by high-frequency steel pipes and spiral steel pipes. For example, high-frequency steel pipes are usually produced in commonly used domestic specifications and are mass-produced and stocked. Usually the materials are Q235B, Q345B, and other harder steel plate materials. High-frequency equipment and Spiral equipment cannot be produced domestically yet. Longitudinal submerged arc welded pipes are widely used in domestic heavy steel structure projects, fluid pipeline projects, and foundation piling projects.
