AISI 4130 High Pressure Seamless Steel Pipe, also known as AISI 4130 and SAE 4130, is a chromium-molybdenum low alloy steel containing molybdenum and chromium as reinforcements while the nominal carbon content is 0.30%. Improvement in the mechanical properties of 4130 pressure steel pipe is also achieved by using annealing, quenching and tempering etc. Hardening can be achieved by heat treatment.
The hot working process of 4130 high temperature steel pipe can be carried out in the temperature range of 816 to 1093 degrees Celsius. AISI uses standard methods for cold working and annealing at 843°C.
