A213 904L grade stainless steel is a low carbon content non-stabilized austenitic stainless steel with no carbon deposits in case of general heat treatment and welding. The risk of crystalline corrosion after heat treatment and welding is eliminated. In addition A213 904L high alloy stainless steel pipe has copper added to it to improve its resistance to strong reducing acids.
A213 904L steel pipe is non-magnetic in all conditions and has excellent weldability and formability. It can be successfully welded by all standard methods without the use of preheating and in most cases, post weld heat treatment is also not required.
