A312 Stainless Steel 316L Pipe is made of austenitic stainless steel and contains chromium, nickel and molybdenum in its composition with a lower carbon content than 316 grade at 0.035%. The low carbon content makes it easier to weld and form. A312 TP316L Seamless Pipe has a minimum solution temperature of 1040 degrees and then rapidly cooled and cannot be hardened by annealing.
The low carbon content of A312 316L Hollow Pipe protects it from carbon precipitation with better corrosion resistance, in addition 316L exhibits better creep resistance, fracture stress resistance and overall strength than other stainless steel grades.
