API 5L GR.X46 Spiral Steel Pipe
API 5L GR.X46 spiral steel pipe is a steel pipe produced in accordance with the American Petroleum Institute (API) standard API 5L. Its grade is GR.
API 5L X 46 Carbon Steel Spiral Pipe also exhibits corrosion resistance to cold conditions, acids and hydrogen sulfide. When hydrogen sulfide reacts with water, free hydrogen atoms are released, causing sulfide stress corrosion cracking. However, API 5L X46 PSL2 material avoids this situation.
Therefore, SCH 40 X46 carbon steel pipe is widely used in acidic environments. API 5L X46 PSL1 welded pipe is also available in additional coatings, perforated or grooved conditions. API 5L X46 grade high yield strength pipes are formed by hot rolling or cold rolling.
