ASTM A672 C60 EFW Pipes
ASTM A672 C60 EFW (Electric Fusion Welded) pipe is a high-strength carbon steel pipe manufactured using an electrofusion welding process. This pipe meets ASTM A672 standards, with C60 indicating its yield strength rating and EFW referring to the electrofusion welding process.
The composition and mechanical properties of ASTM A672 C60 EFW pipe are similar to C55, but C60 welded pipe has a higher yield strength. Such pipes usually contain appropriate amounts of carbon and alloying elements such as silicon, manganese, phosphorus, etc. to provide the required strength and toughness. The yield strength of C60 electrofusion welded pipe is usually between 415-550 MPa, and the tensile strength is higher. These characteristics allow C60 EFW pipe to withstand higher pressures and loads.
