A672 GrC70 electric fusion welded pipe is suitable for steel pipes under medium temperature and high pressure conditions. It is made of pressure vessel quality steel plates with several chemical compositions and strength levels and is made by electric fusion welding with added filler metal. Heat treatment may or may not be required to obtain desired properties or to comply with application specifications. Several supplementary requirements are provided for use when additional testing or inspection is required. Usually suitable for steel pipes with an outer diameter of no less than 16in (405mm) and a wall thickness of no more than 3in (75mm).

ASTM A672 C70 Carbon Steel EFW Pipe The dimensions at any point on the steel pipe shall not exceed the following allowable deviations:
Outer diameter - based on circumferential measurement, it is ±0.5% of the specified outer diameter.
Out-of-roundness - the difference between the maximum and minimum values of the outer diameter, 1%.
Straightness - Use a 10ft (3m) ruler so that both ends are in contact with the steel pipe, 1/8in (3.2mm).
Wall Thickness - The minimum wall thickness at any point on the steel pipe shall not be less than the specified nominal wall thickness of 0.01in (0.3mm).

 

A672 C70 pipe packing is a material specially used for pipe sealing and is widely used in various pipe systems. To ensure its quality and reliability, the packaging and shipping process of A672 C70 pipe requires special attention.
They should be placed individually in plastic bags, and each piece of pipe should be wrapped in waterproof material. Doing so protects the pipe from moisture and contamination, thereby preserving its quality and performance. At the same time, in order to facilitate transportation and storage, these pipes should be tightly tied with nylon ropes.
