API 5L is the pipeline steel pipe specification established by the American Petroleum Institute. X52N steel pipes are produced in accordance with this standard. In China, the corresponding standard is GB/T9711. "L" represents pipeline steel, "52" represents the minimum yield strength of the steel pipe is 52Kis, and "N" represents the delivery state of the steel pipe is normalized or deformation normalized.
API 5L X52N seamless steel pipes are generally made by hot rolling process, heating the raw materials and rolling them through a rolling mill. Cold finishing treatment is also performed to improve the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the steel pipe.
API 5L X52N heat-treated steel pipe adopts normalizing or deformation normalizing treatment. It is heated to above the critical temperature, kept warm for a suitable period of time, and then cooled in the air to refine the grains and improve the uniformity of the structure. Therefore, it has high mechanical properties, physical properties and heat resistance.
Due to its good mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and welding performance, API 5L L360N petroleum steel pipe is widely used in long-distance pipelines of oil and natural gas, as well as various pipelines in the fields of petrochemicals, urban gas, etc. It can safely and stably transport various media in different geographical environments and working conditions.
