What is the DIN 30670 specification?
DIN 30670 Standard three-layer extruded polyethylene-based coatings and requirements for polyethylene-based coatings for corrosion protection of steel pipes and fittings.
DIN 30670 coated steel pipes are suitable for longitudinal or DSAW pipes or seamless steel pipes and fittings used in pipe construction for conveying liquids or gases. The coating is suitable for protecting buried or underwater steel pipes with design temperatures from -40 °C to +80 °C.
This standard ensures that PE coatings provide adequate protection against mechanical, thermal and chemical loads during operation, transportation, storage and installation.
DIN EN ISO 21809-1 specifies the international standard requirements for the three layers extruded polyethylene and polypropylene based coatings for oil and gas pipeline transportation systems.
