Production process and heat treatment
The production process of API 5LB pipeline steel includes microalloying heating treatment. Heat treatment methods include low-temperature tempering (150-250 degrees), medium-temperature tempering (250-500 degrees) and high-temperature tempering (500-650 degrees). The hardness after low-temperature tempering is generally HRC58-64, the hardness after medium-temperature tempering is generally HRC35-50, and the hardness after high-temperature tempering is generally HB200-3303.
Use
API 5LB pipeline steel is mainly used for oil and gas pipelines and is suitable for pipeline systems of various pressure levels. Due to its good welding performance and low cost, it is widely used in the oil and gas industry.
