Seamless steel pipes have a wide range of applications.
1. Seamless steel pipes for general purposes are rolled from ordinary carbon structural steel, low alloy structural steel, or alloy structural steel, with the highest production capacity. They are mainly used as pipelines or structural components for conveying fluids.
2. Supply is divided into three categories according to different purposes:
a. Supply according to chemical composition and mechanical properties;
b. Supply according to mechanical performance;
c. Supply according to water pressure test. Steel pipes supplied in categories a and b, if used to withstand liquid pressure, must also undergo a water pressure test.
3. There are various types of seamless pipes for specialized purposes, including seamless pipes for boilers, seamless pipes for chemical power, seamless steel pipes for geological use, and seamless pipes for petroleum use.
Seamless steel pipes have a hollow cross-section and are widely used as pipelines for transporting fluids, such as oil, natural gas, gas, water, and certain solid materials. Compared with solid steel such as round steel, steel pipes are lighter in weight when their bending and torsional strength is the same, making them an economical cross-sectional steel.
Widely used in the manufacturing of structural and mechanical parts, such as petroleum drill rods, automotive transmission shafts, bicycle frames, and steel scaffolding used in construction, steel pipes are used to manufacture circular parts, which can improve material utilization, simplify manufacturing processes, save materials and processing time. Steel pipes have been widely used in manufacturing.
