I. Types of pipeline steel
Pipeline steel is a pipe material used to transport fluids such as oil, gas, and water. According to different uses and requirements, it is divided into the following categories:
1. Oil pipeline steel: Pipelines used to transport oil, natural gas and other oil and gas media.
2. Natural gas pipeline steel: Pipelines used to transport natural gas can be divided into high-pressure natural gas pipeline steel and low-pressure natural gas pipeline steel.
3. Water pipeline steel: Pipelines used to transport water media such as tap water and industrial water.
4. Chemical pipeline steel: Pipelines used to transport liquid media such as chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
II. Models of pipeline steel
The model of pipeline steel is determined according to its chemical composition and mechanical properties. Common pipeline steel models are as follows:
1. X52 pipeline steel: It belongs to medium-strength pipeline steel and is suitable for transporting oil and gas media.
2. X60 pipeline steel: It belongs to high-strength pipeline steel and is suitable for transporting high-pressure oil and gas media.
3.X80 pipeline steel: It is an ultra-high strength pipeline steel suitable for conveying ultra-high pressure oil and gas media.
III. Pipeline steel size
The size of pipeline steel varies according to its use and requirements. Common pipeline steel sizes are as follows:
1. Outer diameter: The distance from the widest part of the outside of the pipeline to the widest part of the opposite side. Common outer diameters are 219mm, 273mm, 355mm, etc.
2. Wall thickness: The thickness of the pipeline wall. Common wall thicknesses are 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, etc.
3. Length: The length of the pipeline. Common lengths are 6m, 12m, etc.
IV. Pipeline steel parameters
The parameters of pipeline steel include physical properties and chemical composition. Common parameters are as follows:
1. Yield strength: The strength at which pipeline steel begins to deform plastically during stretching.
2. Tensile strength: The maximum load-bearing capacity of pipeline steel during stretching.
3. Elongation: The plastic deformation capacity of pipeline steel during stretching.
4. Hardness: The hardness index of pipeline steel, the most common one is Brinell hardness.
V. Specifications of pipeline steel
The specifications of pipeline steel are determined according to its use and requirements. Common pipeline steel specifications are as follows:
1. Welded pipeline steel: According to different manufacturing processes, it can be divided into long welded pipeline steel, spiral seam pipeline steel, straight seam pipeline steel, etc.
2. Seamless pipeline steel: The manufacturing process of seamless pipeline steel is complicated, but it has better physical properties.
