3PE anti-corrosion is the most commonly used anti-corrosion method, which we also call 3LPE. 3PE coated steel pipe is a coating method for carbon steel pipe. Whether it is welded steel pipe, stainless steel pipe, alloy steel pipe, nickel alloy pipe or CRA armored or lined seamless steel pipe, the pipe can be coated with 3PE.
(1) 3PE anti-corrosion coating must remain stable in various corrosive media, such as acid, alkali, salt, industrial sewage, chemical atmosphere and other environments. It cannot be dissolved, swollen or decomposed by the corrosive medium, and it cannot react with the medium to produce harmful substances, so as to ensure the long-term use of the pipe.
(2) When in contact with highly permeable liquid or gas media, the coating must be able to effectively prevent its penetration, avoid erosion of the pipe surface, and maintain the integrity of the pipe.
(3) The coating will not fall off due to vibration or slight deformation of the pipe, and the coating is required to have a certain mechanical strength.
3PE anti-corrosion coating has excellent corrosion resistance. When exposed to acidic or alkaline media, it can ensure a longer service life in highly corrosive soils. The adhesive force is 20 times that of traditional plastic tape systems, and it has strong adhesion to steel, making it suitable for pipeline laying. At the same time, its high impermeability can better isolate the pipe from the surrounding seawater.
