APL 5CT L80 oil casing is made of 25Mn2-Q. API 5CT L80 is a medium carbon steel equivalent to SAE 4140.This material has excellent tempering and heat treatment properties and is suitable for the manufacture of oil casing subjected to high pressure and complex environments.
API 5CT L80 casing specification and appearance quality
(1) L80 casing according to API 5CT, casing length is not fixed size, the range of 8-13m. but not shorter than 6m casing can be provided, the number of which shall not exceed 20%.
(2) API 5CT L80 casing shall have no folding, hairline, delamination, cracking, rolling and scarring on the internal and external surfaces. These defects shall be completely removed and the removal depth shall not exceed 12.5% of the nominal wall thickness.
(3) There shall be no folding, hairline, delamination, cracks, rolling and scarring defects on the outer surface of the coupling.
(4) The surface of API 5CT L80 casing and coupling threads shall be smooth and free from burrs, tears and other defects sufficient to interrupt the threads affecting the strength and tightness of the connection.
