Composite steel refers to a composite metal material formed by pressing steel with one or more other metals (or alloys) together by hot rolling, explosive welding-hot rolling or other methods. Common ones include stainless steel-steel composite steel, copper-steel composite steel, titanium-stainless steel composite steel, titanium-steel composite steel, nickel-steel composite steel, etc. Composite steel is generally supplied in the form of composite plates, composite strips, and composite pipes. Composite steel can have multiple advantages by combining steels with different properties, and is suitable for applications in harsh environments.
Composite steel is mostly used to manufacture various corrosion-resistant containers and equipment and other special purposes, such as stainless steel-steel composite steel plates, which are suitable for the manufacture of corrosion-resistant and anti-corrosion containers, pressure vessels and other equipment in the chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, food, seawater desalination, nuclear industry, etc.; copper-steel composite steel plates are suitable for the manufacture of corrosion-resistant pressure vessels and vacuum equipment in the chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, salt making and other industries. In addition to inspecting the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the composite layer and base material, composite steel generally needs to inspect the shear strength, process performance, and composite quality of the composite plate (through ultrasonic flaw detection).
