What is stainless steel swing check valve

Stainless steel swing check valves are primarily used to prevent backflow of media in pipelines, ensuring safe and stable system operation. The following is a detailed introduction to this valve:

Working Principle

The disc of a swing check valve is disc-shaped and rotates around the axis of the valve seat. When the media flows in the desired direction, the disc is pushed open by the force of the media, allowing the media to flow. When the inlet pressure falls below the outlet pressure, the disc's own weight and the pressure generated by the reverse flow of the media close, preventing backflow.

Structural Features

  • Compact Structure: The disc is short, typically only 1/4 to 1/8 the length of a traditional flanged check valve. Its small size and light weight, at only 1/4 to 1/20 the weight of a traditional flanged check valve, make installation and maintenance easier.
  • Unobstructed Flow: Low fluid resistance reduces erosion and erosion of the sealing surface, extending the valve's service life.
  • Sensitive Operation: The disc closes quickly with minimal impact, preventing water hammer and protecting pipelines and equipment.
  • Flexible Installation: Can be used in horizontal or vertical piping, easy installation adapts to various piping layouts.
  • Reliable Sealing: The disc and seat utilize either a soft or hard seal structure, providing excellent sealing performance and preventing media leakage.
  • High-Quality Material: Key components such as the valve body, bonnet, and disc are typically manufactured from stainless steel (such as CF8 and 304), offering high corrosion resistance and compatibility with a wide range of media.
