Rolling process control
1. Production precautions
1.1 The chemical composition, size specifications and surface quality of the steel billet must be inspected and qualified, and the actual object must be checked before it can be put into the furnace.
1.2 The steel billet is heated in the annular furnace according to the heating system specified by the unit to ensure that the billet is heated evenly in the annular furnace. There shall be no yin and yang surface, incomplete heating, overheating or overburning. If a rolling mill failure occurs, cooling measures shall be taken as appropriate, and the billet is not allowed to stay in the high temperature area for a long time to ensure the heating quality of the steel (tube) billet.
1.3 Each unit and each process shall strictly follow the furnace delivery system to do a good job of logistics tracking and fill in the balance transfer card; there shall be no mixed furnace and mixed steel phenomenon.
2. Key points of tube rolling operation
2.1 Process flow
Production plan → continuous casting billet inspection → cutting → heating → perforation → tube rolling → sizing → intermediate geometric dimension inspection → cooling → straightening → sizing → dust blowing and suction → magnetic flux leakage detection → manual inspection → water pressure → spray marking → storage
2.2 Rolling requirements
2.2.1 Inspection and monitoring of the quality of deformation tools before and during production:
Before rolling, the tools and molds of the piercing machine, tube rolling machine, sizing machine, and straightening machine should be inspected and confirmed, with a focus on the condition of the tools such as the piercing machine and tube rolling machine rolls, guide plates, jacks, sizing rollers, straightening rollers, and the size, surface quality, and lubrication quality of the mandrel. If there are defects such as cracks, steel sticking, defects, deformation, or uneven lubrication of the mandrel surface, they should be handled in time, and production can only be carried out when everything is normal.
During the production process, the quality of the deformation tools must be checked at any time, the cooling water volume of each rolling mill must be controlled, and the tool lubrication must be strengthened to ensure that there are no scratches, cracks, fissures, folds, scars and other defects on the surface of the steel pipe.
