Anti Corrosion Measures For Petroleum Casing

1. Firstly, we must ensure that the water quality meets the standards, and strictly conduct water quality testing and management. Implement separate injection of clean and dirty water, strengthen the cleaning work of the main water pipeline, ensure that the water quality inside the station and at the bottom of the well meets the standard, and reduce the introduction of corrosion sources into the annular space;
2. For newly put into operation injection wells, adopt an annular protective fluid mainly for adding sterilization, and establish a system for regular addition;
3. Considering that mechanical abrasion accelerates the corrosion of petroleum casing, it is recommended to add a rubber ring to the tubing coupling or a stabilizer in severely deviated areas to avoid scratching the casing and contacting one side of the casing during operation and water injection;
4. To address the severe corrosion of bacteria under the scale and the slow growth and killing of SRB at high temperatures, it is recommended to regularly inject high-temperature water or steam at 100 degrees Celsius into the annulus to kill the SRB under the scale;
5. It is not recommended to promote the use of cathodic protection and coated casing until the corrosion inside the casing of the water injection well is effectively controlled.
