API 5L Grade B pipe is a general grade pipe for oil and gas pipeline transmission. Also called L245 pipe, referring to ISO 3183, named for a minimum yield strength of 245 MPa (35,500 Psi).
Equivalent materials ASTM A106 B or ASTM A53 B, with similar values in terms of chemical composition, mechanical properties and applications.
API 5L B covers PSL1, PSL2, sour services for onshore and offshore pipelines. Fabrication types include seamless and welded.
