Nanchang market: ¥4450/tonne (API5L type).
High strength material (X65, X70):
Shandong Liaocheng: thick-walled seamless pipe factory price ¥5900-6000/tonne;
Gansu market: ¥4500/tonne for special models (e.g. petroleum pipe).
Welded pipe
Straight seam welded pipe (X46, X52):
Shandong Liaocheng: JCOE process LSAW factory price ¥4760/tonne;
High-frequency LSAW pipes: bulk purchase price as low as ¥19.0/m (≥1000m)
Factors affecting the price
Material and process:
X65/X70 and other high-strength materials are 30%-40% more expensive than ordinary materials because of the complexity of the process;
Welded pipe than seamless pipe cost about 20% -25% lower.
Market demand:
Energy projects drive the demand for large diameter thick-walled pipes (e.g. Φ273*7), and prices remain high;
Ordinary models (e.g. L290) have less price fluctuation due to sufficient supply.
