The standards are different:
API 5L GR.B: This is a standard developed by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and is mainly used for steel pipes used for transmission pipelines in the oil and gas industry.
A53 GR.B: This is an American standard for seamless steel pipe for low and medium pressure fluid transmission, which is widely used for fluid transportation in construction and industry.

Manufacturing Process:
API 5L GR.B: This type of steel pipe is usually produced by hot rolling, cold drawing or hot expanding process and delivered after heat treatment.
A53 GR.B: This kind of steel pipe is also produced by hot rolling or cold drawing process, and the delivery state can be hot rolling or heat treatment.

Application:
API 5L GR.B: It is mainly used in high pressure and high temperature environments in the extraction, processing and transportation of oil and gas.
A53 GR.B: Due to its good weldability and corrosion resistance, it is widely used in water pipes, gas pipes, structural supports, etc.
