S31803 duplex stainless steel flange contains approximately 50% ferrite and 50% austenite. The combination of ferrite and austenite phases provides formability and weldability. Duplex steel S31803 flange consists of 25% chromium, 4.5% nickel, 7% manganese and 0.3% molybdenum. This combination provides superior strength and corrosion resistance compared to other grades of stainless steel flanges.
Duplex steel UNS S31803 flanges are used in marine engineering, chemical processing, valves, petrochemical plants, oil and gas equipment due to their good low temperature toughness, pitting and crevice corrosion resistance.
