1.4462 duplex stainless steel pipe is a German-grade duplex stainless steel composed of 21% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloy. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local stress corrosion resistance. The yield strength of S31803 duplex stainless steel pipe is twice that of austenitic stainless steel. This alloy is particularly suitable for use in the -50°F/+600°F temperature range. This alloy may also be considered for applications outside this temperature range, but there are some limitations, especially when applied to welded structures.
The chemical composition of DIN1.4462 stainless steel round pipe is: Chromium (Cr): 24.0-26.0%, Nickel (Ni): 6.0-8.0%, Molybdenum (Mo): 3.0-5.0%, Copper (Cu): 0.5% maximum, Iron (Fe): balance. The higher the C content, the higher the hardness of DIN1.4462 steel pipe, but the plasticity and toughness decrease, and brittle fracture is prone to occur.
