S31600 stainless steel pipe is an austenitic stainless steel. Due to the addition of Mo element, its corrosion resistance and high temperature strength are greatly improved. The high temperature resistance can reach 1200-1300 degrees and can be used under harsh conditions. The main uses include heat exchangers for pulp and paper making equipment, dyeing equipment, film processing equipment, pipelines, and materials for exterior buildings in coastal areas.
316 stainless steel heat-resistant steel pipe (06Cr17Ni12Mo2) has good oxidation resistance in intermittent use below 871°C (1600°F) and continuous use above 927C° (1700°F). In the range of 427°C-857°C (800°F-1575°F), it is best not to use S31600 stainless steel round pipe continuously, but when using SS 316 stainless steel pipe continuously outside this temperature range, the stainless steel has good Heat resistance. 316L stainless steel pipe has better resistance to carbide precipitation than S31600 stainless steel and can be used in the above temperature range.

Forging conditions of S31600 alloy material:
1. Heating temperature: The heating temperature during forging is generally controlled at around 1050°C-1150°C.
2. Forging temperature range: The forging temperature range should be controlled above 900°C to ensure the plasticity of the material.
3. Forging speed: The forging speed cannot be too fast, otherwise it will easily cause cracks and deformation.
4. Protective atmosphere: When forging at high temperatures, an appropriate protective atmosphere should be adopted to avoid oxidation and poor surface quality.
