Precautions
310H stainless steel heat-resistant steel pipe has good oxidation resistance in air at continuous operating temperatures up to 1040°C and 1150°C. Good resistance to thermal fatigue and cyclic heating. Widely used when encountering sulfur dioxide gas at high temperatures. Carbide precipitation in the 425-860°C range is not recommended if subsequent water corrosion resistance is required, but it generally performs well in temperature ranges above and below this.
It is prone to σ phase embrittlement in the temperature range of 650-900°C. Grade 310H steel pipe is typically used at temperatures starting from about 800 or 900°C, higher than the temperatures at which 304H and 321 are effective.
