ASTM A252 longitudinal submerged arc welded steel pipe is a kind of low carbon steel. According to different application environments, ASTM A252 pipes are divided into grade 1, grade 2 and grade 3. These pipes can be manufactured through seamless and welding procedures. Among them, A252 steel piling pipe is mainly used for piling applications. The material is strong, corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant.
Seamless pipes are made by hot rolling, cold drawing or thermal expansion processes, while welded pipes are welded by resistance welding or straight seam submerged arc welding. Different grades of ASTM A252 steel pipes have different mechanical properties, among which grade 3 steel pipes have the highest strength, grade 2 pipes follow, and grade 1 steel pipes have the lowest strength.
The chemical composition of these steel pipes includes elements such as carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and nitrogen.
