Basic Information
API 5L X56 pipe is an intermediate pipe in the API 5L standard specification. It has a minimum yield strength of 390 Mpa (56,600 psi) and a minimum tensile strength of 490 Mpa. API 5L X56 is also called L390 pipe with a yield strength of 390 Mpa. It covers seamless and welded (ERW, EFW, SAW) types of manufacturing.
Material and Performance
API 5L X56 pipe is made of L245 or X56 and has the following performance characteristics:
